Day 48 - Bethlehem Cemetery & the Clinton Diner

Today after church, we headed over to the Bridgewater Mall to do some shopping.  On the way over we stopped by the Bethlehem Cemetery near Clinton, NJ.  After the mall we stopped by the Clinton Diner for Dinner.  We both have driven past this diner twice a day, but have never eaten there.  So tonight we did.  Here are the images for today

The Bethlehem Baptist Church & Cemetery

As for the history of the church, what I could find was that the congregation was formed in 1837 and the church was built shortly after that.  It was called the Bethlehem Baptist Church and was abandon in 1906.  In 1950 thieves came and ripped off the copper drain spouts leaving gapping holes in the church.  This allowed the rain and snow to rot the wooden roof causing it to collapse first.  Next some arsons came and lit up the interior.  So what you see today is what man and time have done to the church.
