Day 44 - Oldest Daughter's Birthday

Thirty six years ago the number 1 song in the US was "Blinded by the Light" by Manfred Mann's Earth Band.  Thirty six years ago on this day at around 2 AM the temperature was 32 degrees with light snow falling as we climbed into our van at Bolling Air force Base and started our drive to Andrew's Air force base in Maryland.  Thirty Six years ago on this day Valentine day's flowers were delivered at out house while my wife was at Andrews AFB delivering.  Yes Thirty six years ago on this day a new tradition was born as my wife and I received a beautiful blessing of a baby girl.

All images are taken with the EOS-M w/ EF-M 22mm f/2 STM @ f/3.5

And that tradition is:

1 Rose for our youngest daughter for Valentine's Day
Happy Valentine's Day
1/40 sec @ ISO 2000

2 Roses for our oldest daughter 1 for her Birthday & 1 for Valentine's Day
Happy Birthday & Happy Valentine's Day
1/40 sec @ ISO 2000

9 Roses for the love of my life
Happy Valentine's Day
1/40 sec @ ISO 1600

So through the years the tradition has changed slightly as my daughters have grown up and have gotten married, but still on every February 13th they all get a dozen roses.

A Happy Valentine's Day to Everyone and a very happy and blessed birthday to my oldest.

See you all Tomorrow

Tom
