Day 88 - Good Friday

Today is Good Friday.  The day we celebrate the crucifixion of Jesus.  It is also a day the the children have no school, so we were lucky to be able to get the grandchildren early today.

So when they arrived
Mother & Daughter

We headed out to Richard's for Hotdogs for Lunch

Now Richard's has the best hotdogs in the valley in my opinion

After Lunch we, I took the two oldest grandchildren to the playground

Then on the way home we saw an example of the resurrection as the Spring
Flowers are coming back to life

Day 87 - Lamenting

Day 87 is a day of lamenting the loss of my 2002 Mustang as well as going to our new office location to paint and install so that we are ready by Monday to see clients in our new location.  After painting I headed to the store to pick up a few items for the weekend so I was not really in the mode to go and take photos.

All images are taken with the EOS-M w/ EF-M 22mm f/2 STM @ f/3.5
1/100 sec @ ISO 100 w/Off Camera Flash set to 1/64 power

So getting home and seeing an empty garage, I lamented:

RIP

Then I needed to cut up some fruit.
Even though it is not watermelon season here.
The Watermelon from Mexico was sweet and delicious.

Now I hope this images convey's how good this watermelon is
of course, since I'm a BW type of Guy here is a BW version of
the last image:

Have a nice rest of your day.

Day 86 - End Of an Era

Day 86 has brought an end to an era.  Since October 1973 when I bought my 1st Sport's Car.

A 1974 Triumph Spitfire

I have owned at least 1 vehicle that was a manual transmission.  As of today, when I sold my 2002 Mustang, that era has come to an end.  I no longer own a vehicle that has manual transmission.

All images are taken with the EOS-M w/ EF-M 22mm f/2 STM @ f/3.5

I remember back in April 6, 2002 when we drove
to Maryland to get her and bring her home.

Now after 11 years I watched her drive away with
a new owner

Leaving me an empty stall to come home too.

You will be missed
and the fun that your manual transmission and top down driving gave.

RIP Driving for Fun  (For now)

Day 85 - Vialibri

Day 85 found be back up at our new office location installing more blinds.  Finally finished that project before heading back to the old office to see more clients.  Hopefully the inspector will pass the new facility allowing us to move in this weekend, however there is still a lot more to do before the final move day.

So as I was finishing up today's project I was looking out the window and thought that this would make a good image for the blog, so here it is:

Day 84 - Z3

Today on the way home from work I stopped to look at a car. The car was a blue 1997 BMW Z3 2.8L.   Now typically I do not like blue cars, but this blue is called a Montreal Blue.  It is a dark rich blue with a tan interior.

All images are taken with the EOS-M w/ EF-M 22mm f/2 STM @ f/3.5

However it does have over 75,000 miles on it

One wonders if this could be the replacement for the mustang or not.  Of course some members in my family feel that cars have been my problem and that I can't leave a car bay empty.  What do you think?

Tempting

Day 83 - The Moravian village

Well after church, I had to take the Mustang to have new shoes put on her, a oil change and get the state inspection done before the end of the month.  This will be the last State inspection I do for her as she is being sold this Wednesday or Thursday, so I will be putting some images of her before she leaves my stable to her new owner's stable sometime this week.

Anyway after we left the shop, my wife and I headed down to Bethlehem, Pa and took the following images in the old section where some of the ruins of the Moravian village (1741-1800) once was.

Day 82 - Jelly Bellies

Today we started to put together Easter Baskets for the grandchildren for Easter next week.  So as I was looking at the Jelly Bellies and the Peeps, I wondered what type of images would they create.   New we have all seen Jelly Bellies and Peeps in color, but would they make good BW images.

All images are taken with the EOS-M w/ EF-M 22mm f/2 STM @ f/3.5

Day 81 - The Mannequins

Not a lot of opportunity to get a photo today that I felt was worthy to post.  So as I was contemplating the image I wanted to do I walk past these 2 mannequins and noticed this older gentleman sitting on a display talking on the phone, so I took this shot:

After walking the mall we went to pick up the grand babies.  We got the granddaughters and we loaded them in the car while we waited for our grandson:

So just in case that image didn't work, when we got home I thought way out of the box for this image:

Day 80 - The Red Mill

This morning I had to travel to Clinton, NJ to see my dentist.  After the appointment, I stopped by the Red Mill in Clinton.  The mill was built originally built around 1810.  Photography was invented around 1839 using the Daguerreotype Processing.  So here is what a picture of the mill may have looked like:

Day 79 - Minute Maid Juice Boxes

Had a busy morning so I wasn't able to get out doors to take a photo.  So while in the kitchen packing the grandchilden's snack bag, I picked up their juice boxes.  I looked at them, and thought, what could I do with these to make them look good.   So I setup the portable Studio on a black glass table top and did these:
